Hate filling out all those chances? Here’s a tip for you…bring your address labels with you, paste them in the raffle space, and just write in your phone number. But the best news is – you won’t believe the wonderful prizes Lorraine secured for us this year. There is well over $2,000.00 in prizes. You will want to be the first in line to buy your chances. Remember you do not have to be present to win. Annabelle Lynch will be selling the Tour booklets/tickets at the November luncheon also. Remember, we have a $100 (member only) cash prize for the winner of the Newcomers Club Member Incentive program. All members (present or not at the luncheon) are eligible to win. So, if you cannot make the luncheon, get another member to purchase a booklet/ticket for you. We are also having a full night of entertainment at the President of Wesley’s home the night of the tour. Think of it, a tour of beautiful homes, refreshments, and entertainment – all for only $15.00. And if you purchase a chance, you could win a beautiful prize.
Advertise for our club and the Candlelight Tour by spreading the word. Please help your club to make this an outstanding Candlelight Tour for the benefit of the John S. Charlton and
Candlelight Tour Refreshments – Irene Simpson
I want to thank all the Newcomers members who donated cookies and brownies for the refreshments at the Candlelight Tour. Your generosity and wonderful culinary skills are much appreciated.
Hospitality – Sally Matthews
On Monday, November 16, the Executive Board hosted a tea at Sally Matthews’ home for our new members. They are Suzanne Bennetti, Janice Gallagher, Thelma Jester, Jan Kiesel, Pat Keller, Trish Rodriguez, Janice Zelenke, Marcia Schweitzer, and Elda McGovern. We enjoyed coffee, tea, breakfast dishes, coffee cake, and fruit. Especially nice was the time we had to get acquainted and share information about our club.
Another tea will be held in the spring for future new members and those new members who could not make the fall tea.
Luncheons – Barbara Culver and Gale Thornbury
Attendees at the October luncheon at Roma’s who ordered hot tea or coffee were charged an additional $3. This additional fee should not have been collected as the hot beverages were to have been included in the luncheon fee. If you paid the additional fee, please contact Barbara or Gale for a refund. Steps have been taken to see that this does not happen again.
